On the first Tuesday of every month I teach an evening creative writing class at Mockingbird Lounge in Glenelg, Adelaide. This is a writing space for those who are just setting out, those who have novels in the desk drawer, and those who simply wish to spend time with like-minded people and practise creativity. This is not a critique group, so you don't need to prepare anything in advance.  

In this class I cover fiction, life writing, poetry, and core writing elements including characterisation, setting, voice, and more. I'll show you how to tap into memories you didn't think you had, teach you how to make a poem without writing a word. Each class you'll learn new techniques and be given writing prompts with dedicated writing time, with the opportunity to share your work if you wish - but it's always up to you. 

This is a relaxed, safe, small group environment, and we welcome anyone who wants to join us. If you have any questions, or any needs I can accomodate to enable you coming along, I'd love to hear from you.
